About this place

Added by Kristen May

The wildflowers at the Timberline Lodge are not to be missed. It's an easy place to spend some time after spending the day hiking in the national forest and is perfect for photography.

From the mount hood scenic byway in Government Camp, Oregon turn on the road that heads up to the Timberline Lodge. Follow that road to the end and park in the lot all the way at the top. In the ski season you need a pass to park there, but if you go in June, July, Or August (aka when the wildflowers are there) you can park for free.

Walk up the little dirt road to the left of the Overflow parking lot and follow it about 100 feet and you'll find fields upon fields of beautiful wildflowers. I went at the end of July and the fields were in full bloom.

Some of my gf’s best photos
The wildflowers around Timberline are beautiful. Don’t be afraid to stop in for a good bite at the Lodge too.
