Quick stop along Highway 101. Sea Caves. Tide pools.
Devils Punchbowl State Park is located just off of Highway 101. Finding the access path to the beach can be tricky since you need to be on the North side of the Punchbowl, but look for a path heading through the trees on C Avenue just north of 3rd. Once you get down to the beach head left.
You may need to hop over streams and scramble over rocks, but keep heading left until you reach the entrance. The Punchbowl is only accessible during low tide, so check the NOAA Tide tables for Depoe Bay. If you see waves coming into the cave, don't enter. It's very dangerous - so timing is key for a visit.
Once you are inside the Devils Punchbowl you can scramble around the rocks and explore but beware of slippery rocks. Also, keep an eye on the seaside entrance for rogue waves. Standing on a rock in the center is great place to take a panoramic photo.
When you are done exploring, head back north on the beach. You have a great view of Otter Rock and tons of tide pools to explore.
