About this place

Added by Elliott Kramer

Enjoy stunning views of the Three Sisters at these smaller campground (20 tent spots with fire rings).

Scott Lake Campground is truly a hidden gem off the McKenzie Pass Scenic Drive. Nestled right next to the Mt Washington Wilderness Area, this small campsite with only 20 primitive sites lining the lake gives spectacular views over toward the Three Sisters to the South-East.

To get there - turn onto FS Road 260 - either 14 miles east from the junction with Highway 126 or about 22 miles west of Sisters. Follow the dirt road for a short time until you reach the campsites - and pick out your spot!

There is a small fee of $5 per site, and there can be some gnarly mosquito's in July and August, however when I visited in late September this problem seemed to be non-existent.

Catching the sunset and sunrise here is a must - the lake provides a perfect foreground for landscape photographs and it is by far the most beautiful time on the lake.
