About this place

Added by Stephanie Windschill

Emerald Falls is a short and less populated hike to some nice waterfalls with the option to extend the hike for more adventure!

Start at the Wyreth Campground day-use area. If it's closed, park on the side of the road and walk in from the roadway. You'll see an intersection with a wooden bridge crossing the river.

Take a few pictures and continue straight on the trail. You'll go about 1/2 mile on the trail until you reach Emerald Falls. It appears as though there might have been a small landslide,
so be careful navigating around for pictures or exploring. These falls offer a picturesque scene with mossy-covered rocks and stunning waterfalls.

If you looking for something with a bit more challenge and adventure...continue on with caution. Get more details on the Gorton Creek Falls adventure.
Otherwise, make your way back out the way you came in! Spend some extra time exploring the woods, it's a nice pristine area with not a lot of visitors! :)

It’s fine??
This is a good hike to take inpatient little kids on like my nephews but it’s not very exciting. Family friend I guess!

Not sure why, but it’s closed. According to signs only the most popular tourist waterfalls (Multnomah, Bridal Veil...) are open.
