Wilson River Trail

This long trail provides hikers with great views of the corridor in the Coast Range. As the trail follows public land for the most part, there are a couple sections with steady elevation gains to avoid private land: near Lees Camp and Ryan Creek.

Although the trail receives some of the most rainfall in the state, it is open to hike during all seasons. Be sure to check trail conditions before heading out as there may be a closure due to damaged sections. Be sure to check with the Oregon Department of Forestry during winter months for any trail updates.

Break up the Hike:

Some people decide to do this hike in portions, making it more doable as a day hike.

• Dog Creek: Elk Creek Trailhead to King's Mountain Trailhead (7.4 miles in-and-out)
• Lester Creek: King's Mountain Trailhead to Diamond Mill Trailhead (11.2 miles in-and-out)
• North Fork Wilson River: Diamond Mill Trailhead to Jones Creek Trailhead (3.8 miles in-and-out)
• Cedar Creek: Jones Creek Trailhead to Footbridge Trailhead (7.2 miles in-and-out)
• Ryan Creek: Footbridge Trailhead to Keening Creek Trailhead (12.2 miles in-and-out)

Camping is available at the following areas: Elk Creek, Jones Creek, Diamond Mill, and Keenig Creek
