Joshua Tree National Park is a beautiful dessert known for its old school style of crack climbing and has become one of my favorite winter destinations!
Intersection Rock is located in the Hidden Valley Campground with lots of parking!
Intersection Rock has many classic routes- I found right ski track and overhang bypass to be 2 of my favorite routes in j tree.
Start left of the flake in a crack, there are several different options for the first pitch- we did this climb twice and took 2 different cracks up. Belay just under the overhang. Traverse out right and follow the good hand crack around the overhang, pull yourself up on to the ledge then climb the slabby face to the bolts.
Rap with one rope back to the starting ledge of the climb- Right Ski Track.
Camping Options: White Tank Campground; Cottonwood Campground; Jumbo Rocks Campground; Ryan Campground; Backcountry Camping
