About this place

Added by Nick Garcia

This beautiful hike ascends to Pinhead Peak and offers brilliant views of Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park from the west.

Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park is the perfect place to getaway from the hubbub of LA. Enjoy the scenic drive north on Ortega Highway before reaching the entrance gate to the park. Parking Fees are currently $3 on Weekdays and $5 on Weekends. Camping Fees vary depending on your group size.

The trailhead can be found just south of the old windmill on the far side of the park. The trail crosses over a large wash before quickly ascending to the top of the western most mountain range. As you reach the top of the mountain, you can get excellent views of the campgrounds and the parks Interpretative Center.

Beautiful Hike
The old river bed and the foliage really make this hike a good one if you're looking to get a lot of vitamin D!
