Explore Cullasaja Falls

This is an awesome waterfall that offers views from several different spots along the road as well as a quick hike down to the base!

The small pull-off area is located towards the top of the falls. There isn't much space (3 maybe 4 cars at a time), but there are additional pull-off areas further down the road. There are several places from the pull-off where you can snap some pictures or, if you have a little more time, head down to the base of the falls!

The "trail" begins from the small pull-off (the directions are linked to that specific pull-off). I say "trail" because there isn't one specific spot where it begins. Additionally it is not maintained or marked therefore there is not a specific beginning or ending. However, it is obvious where other people have accessed the falls from. Some places require you to jump from rock-to-rock or side-step down the hill. While this may be intimidating for some, it is only .1 miles from where you parked! The falls are insight the entire time, so there shouldn't be an issue with locating the falls or your car afterward!

There are also several spots both above the falls and below that provide awesome views of the river and great swimming holes!

NOTES:

Understand your hiking ability before you take off down the hill; after you're done, you have to hike back out!

Be aware of how fast the water is moving (and your swimming abilities)! If it has recently rained, the water will be pumping fast off the falls, causing the current below to be faster. 

Take your time hiking down the hill! It is a pretty steep hike with loose footing in some spots, but don't let that stop you from exploring! Be mindful of your foot placement and you should be fine!
