This is a great hike to catch an epic sunrise that is good for spring, summer and fall. Grab Breakfast at the Pisgah Inn after!
Park at the Lot at the end of Black Balsam road, and start your morning in the dark, down the old dirt road at the end of the lot. Take this road until you get to Ivestor Gap and make a right onto the Art Loeb, try and time it so the sun is just about to rise here. Hike or trail run The Art Loeb trail back to Black Balsam while the sun makes its way up over the horizon! One of my favorite ways to start the day, and the dogs love it too! We like to pile back in the truck and make our way south on the parkway after for breakfast at the Pisgah Inn!
