The Cabe Lands Trail and Eno Quarry Loop is an approximately 2-mile loop with scenic views of the rock quarry.
Escape the NC heat at the quarry at Eno River State Park.
Access the Eno Quarry via Cabe Lands Access Point (parking lot off Howe Street). Follow the Cabe Lands Trail (red blazes) from the parking lot. About 80 yards down the path you'll see a trail split off to the left or right. Keep going on the right for the longer loop on the Cabe Lands Trail, which meets up with the Quarry Trail. If you're short on time, head left at the split, which leads through the woods about 0.9 miles to the quarry. After you cross the Eno River, popular for fly fishing as most of the stream can be waded, you will reach the Quarry Loop Trail. The loop is about 1/2 mile long and runs around the perimeter of the quarry.
Please note, for your safety swimming is strongly discouraged by park rangers and the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation.
