Walk through The Botanical Gardens in Asheville

Just a little under 2 miles away from downtown Asheville, NC, you'll find the beautiful Botanical Gardens. If you're looking for the perfect place to walk around, explore, and go at your own pace...look no further. 

The entire wooded property is roughly 10 acres, but you can wander along the short, easy to follow, half-mile loop. Along the walk you'll catch glimpses of wooden gazebos, budding flowers, fields of green, and an abundance of unique plants, many of which are labeled with small signs. You may appreciate taking the time to stop to learn more about the things you might otherwise easily pass by. 

The Gardens is great for a casual stroll or head-clearing run. It's also a wonderful place to bring your kids, especially if you want to teach them a bit about the different types of native plants and the importance of their preservation. Both parking and admission are free. Once you've taken the time to enjoy the Gardens, you can easily head back to the downtown area for a bite to eat.
