The Martin Luther King Jr Park includes a large multi-purpose field as well as a playground that's great for kids. It's the perfect place to go solo to clear your head and chill with a book or with family and friends for an outdoor game.
Right at the entrance to the Park stands a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. It serves as a reminder of our history, the things we've accomplished, and the progress we have yet to make-- an inspiring message to be greeted with upon entry.
The park is open to all and often lies at the center of community events. This makes it a great place to feel more connected to the local area. If you're in downtown Asheville, the N5 bus is a convenient mode of public transportation to get to this spot as it's just a quick 0.8 miles.
