About this place

Added by Outbound

Sliding Rock Falls can be reached via a short, quick walk to this natural water slide from parking area. You can slide any time of day as long as the sun is up. Lifeguards are on duty from during the summer from 10am to 6pm.

This natural mountain waterfall and slide in the Pisgah National Forest is a local favorite to cool off in and have a little fun during the warmer months. You can walk up the line to the top of the falls and have a quick wait as others go down this 60 foot boulder.

This water varies between 50-60 degrees, so make sure you head there on a warmer day. Once you reach the base of the falls, you'll make a splash into an 8 foot deep pool, with minimal swimming distance to get back in line for your next ride down. Don't worry about getting stuck, there are 11,000 gallons of water flowing to help send you down the boulder.

If taking a dip isn't your thing, there are plenty of dry places to relax and watch others hit the falls.
