Camp right on the lake. Kayaking or canoeing for all levels. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bathrooms and water, no shower house. Fire pits. Close to tons of hiking trails.
This campground is all kinds of amazing, and if you get one of the sites in the A loop, you will have lakefront property (just be warned, if I see you there, I'll have to crash with you ;-). Price Lake is a gorgeous lake right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and perfect for canoeing or kayaking. You can reserve a certain number of campsites online, and then the rest of them are first come first serve. You can reserve sites here: recreation.gove. There are boat rentals (non-motorized only) available, but it's better is you can bring your own so you can go at anytime.
There are tons of trails around the area, and a 2.4 mile loop that leaves right from the campground and runs around the lake. This campground fills up during the summer and fall, so go early or reserve ahead of time!
