About this place

Added by Outbound

Climb this Fire Tower for 360 views including the Adirondack Mountains, Green Mountains of Vermont, Taconic Range that forms the border between New York and Massachusetts and the Helderberg Mountains.

Once you drive onto N. Long Pond Road you will follow it appproximately 1.5 miles to the end. From the parking you can take the short walk back on the road to the start of the trail.

The trail is actually a rough Fire Tower Road. You will follow this for about 1.3 miles. Here you will see a service road gate on your right. From here you will pass the gate and follow the last .2 miles to the Fire Tower.

The area has a picnic table. You will have to climb the tower for any views.

Beautiful easy Hike
Had a little trouble finding the trail to the tower, but wonderful views from the top.

Great Beginner Trail
A friend and I just went on this trail as our first hiking trip of many we want to take. Definitely a good trail ...
