The Michael M. Emery and Trail 305 Loop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a moderately challenging hiking trail. It spans approximately 3.17 miles and is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips. The trail is well-marked and offers a variety of terrain, including dirt paths, rocky sections, and slight inclines. One of the key features of this trail is its proximity to the Rio Grande. Hikers can enjoy views of the river at various points along the route. Additionally, the trail is home to a variety of local flora and fauna, including juniper trees and mule deer. For those planning a visit, it's recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots due to the rocky sections of the trail. Also, bringing water is essential, especially during the hotter months. Really pleasant and easy trail. There were lots of bikers, but they were good about sharing the trail with a walker like me. There are many side trails off the main loop, so I did rely on the app to keep me on route, but i wouldnt have been actually lost should I have taken a different trail.
Early fall, no bugs, dry trails, no shade.
