Hike the Pena Blanca Trail

The road to get here is a dirt road, but I was able to do it without a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle. Once you park off to the left in the little gravel pull-off, you're going to follow the trail that is on the same side of the road. There will be a post that is red at the top (second picture) that is the start of the trail. Across the road there will be another post that says "trail" on it, but that will not take you to Pena Blanca. After you have started the hike you will come to a fork in the road and you're going to head left, this trail will take you to the base of Pena Blanca. Once you're at the base there is a small trail that heads up to the right that has small rocks on either side of a path. You can follow this path up, but really you can explore the rock formation however you want. This site has archaeological value and there are signs that stress the importance of not removing any rocks or adding anything to it. With that being side you can explore the entire area and even scramble to the top!
