$15 USD, Himalayan Views and Mountain Roads? Yes please. Renting a motorcycle in Nepal is easy as can be. If you have motorcycling experience and are comfortable in third-world traffic, this is an adventure you don't want to miss out on. Hop on, and head to Ghorepani. (The beginning of many treks in the Pokhara Himalaya)
On the northern border of Phewa Lake in Pokhara is Lakeside Park. Just near it are several motorcycle-renting vendors. If you have a $15 budget, and a strong-will, you can barter the vendors into renting you a motorcycle.
Several different types of motorcycles are available for rent, from 2 hours, to 12 hours. I went with the classic Royal Enfield 350. Take your pick!
Once rented, grab yourself a map or a GPS app and set your course for Ghorepani. Enjoy everything from mountain roads, rivers, and Himalayan mountains as you cruise through Pokhara into the mountains, and down toward a starting point for many treks in the Annapurna region of the Himalaya.
