It's been a long time coming... A precise new fit built specifically for women.

After a long hot summer, the turning of the seasons is near here in Colorado, and what more perfect way to ring in the change than with a quick trek testing Danner’s newest boots?

Danner has once again outdone themselves with their new Precision Fit boots, a precise new fit built specifically for women. These boots proved their worth on a recent rainy hike with some friends.

We piled into the car to head up into elevation for some reprieve from the hot temperatures we’ve been experiencing all summer. As we arrived at the trailhead, the weather took a turn and started to rain. Fortunately, we were prepared with our rain jackets and Danner boots. Knowing our boots were equipped with waterproof construction - we confidently set out on our rainy trek.

As we started on the trail all three of us quickly noticed how the Precision Fit of these boots locked our heels in to provide us with better support to navigate the rocky, wet trail. Danner spent the past few years researching and studying women’s feet biometrics to design a boot that solves women’s unique fit problems. The boots' Precision Fit was immediately noticeable. They molded to my feet perfectly! I have had issues with hiking boots in the past giving me gnarly blisters due to a narrow toe-box but these Danner’s were comfortable straight out of the box. They didn’t even need a break-in period.

As the rain kept coming down, we stopped at the first lake to take in the views. The cooler weather, drizzly rain, and fog were giving off PNW vibes and we were in awe! We chatted and explored around the lake to get more acquainted with our new boots. One thing we all loved about Danner's new Precision Fit is that they made this technology available in different styles and colorways to fit a variety of preferences and needs. Lizzy, a previous National Park Service trail worker and now the assistant coordinator at our local university's outdoor program loved that her Inquire Chukka boots in colorway Driftwood/Stormy Weather are versatile enough to wear in the office and in the field. As someone with a job that requires attending multi-department meetings in the morning and taking groups into the field in the afternoon, she believes this boot combines the best of both worlds. Both Julia and I are obsessed with natural earth tones so my Inquire Mid in Pine Brown/Prairie Sand and her Jag II in Brown/Bossa Nova blended seamlessly into our outdoorsy wardrobes.

The rain started to slow and we watched fish begin to hit topwater and the sun illuminate the trees as it began to set. As I watched, I noticed how much I didn't notice my boots. They felt like I had been wearing them for years, which was a wonderful surprise! The Inquire Mids also look so classic that I know they will be accompanying me not only on trail hikes but everyday adventures as well.

On top of being stylish, having Vibram soles, and being waterproof thanks to Danner's Dry waterproof barrier, these boots are also Recraftable meaning they can be re-soled. Yep, now your well-loved hiking boots can get a new life and get you back on the trail to create even more memories. Who doesn't love a sustainable product?

Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with Danner's Precision Fit. These boots look great and are incredibly comfortable and durable. They kept our feet dry in hours of rain and their traction kept us safe as we navigated the slick, rocky trail. It's evident that Danner put a lot of thought into designing a boot that caters to women's unique foot structure.

Whether you need a boot to get you around trails or across town, we would highly recommend Danner's Precision Fit boots to anyone searching for that perfect fit!
