Discovery Ski Area is an alpine ski area in the small town of Anaconda, Montana. With over 2,200 acres of skiing and over 8,000 feet of elevation at the summit, you can find an adventure to fit any skill level.
After entering Anaconda take the Pintler Veterans Memorial Scenic Hwy south towards Georgetown Lake. Turn onto Southern Cross Rd briefly before turning off onto Echo Lake Rd. Follow Echo Lake Rd. through until it turns into Discovery Basin Rd. and you're there. The gravel roads will not be plowed so take it slow.
Located in a rural area you can reap the benefits of tall slopes and good snow without waiting in line like other mountain resorts. If you're looking for tree skiing, groomed trails, moguls, powder bowls, and big snow this is your place!
