Summit Lake Mountain and Nasukoin Mountain

To reach the trailhead, travel west on US Hwy 93 for 17.9 mi. and then turn right onto Olney Crossover Rd. This road will continue for 8.8 mi. and then keep left onto NF-115 for 9.7 mi. and the destination will be on the right hand side. There is a parking area where the trailhead begins. 

From the trailhead, the trail veers right and continues up a hill.  After climbing the hill, a crossroads is reached with the left fork leading towards Lake Mountain and Nasukoin Mountain and the right fork leading to Link Lake. After taking the left fork, the trail is easy to follow up Lake Mountain. After having summited Lake Mountain, the trail continues down a somewhat steep face of Lake Mountain and then continues along a ridge for the remainder of the hike with the exception of the final push to Nasukoin Mountain. After reaching the base of Nasukoin Mountain, the trail veers to the right. There is a possibility to continue climbing the ridge to the left of the trail, going straight up Nasukoin Mountain, or continuing along the trail for a slightly longer hike. Either path will lead you to the summit of Nasukoin Mountain and the expansive views it offers. The return route should follow the trail as the steep ridge lends to the possibility of injury while climbing down. Along the way back, Link Lake offers an excellent spot to relax and cool off in the water.
