Take in epic views along the entire hike, ending at a beautiful overlook of Hidden Lake with Bearhat Mountain towering behind it. This is a great spot for sunsets and you'll have a good chance of seeing mountain goats along the hike.
The trail starts at the Logan Pass Visitor Center, which is right in the middle of Going-To-The-Sun Road. It can be very busy during the middle of the day, but early morning and early evening will have less of a crowd.
It's a pretty short hike in a beautiful wide open alpine meadow. We were greeted by mountain goats only a few minutes into the hike and then saw half a dozen more when we got to the overlook. If hiking in the summer, you'll find wildflowers sprinkled all over the ground in the area after the snow has melted off.
