This easy out-and-back hike will take you to two mountain lakes and the beautiful cascading Redrock Fallsthe.
The hike to Redrock Falls begins at the Swiftcurrent Pass Trailhead in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park. The trailhead is located at the western end of the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn parking lot.
From the trailhead, head straight toward Swiftcurrent Pass and Redrock Falls. At approximately 0.3 miles you’ll notice a small spur trail on the left-hand side which leads to Fishercap Lake. Make sure to take the short 100 yard trek down to the lake. Keep a look out for moose feeding in the lake as they frequent the area. After enjoying Fishercap Lake, retrace your steps back to the main trail.
Continue on the forested trail toward the falls. You’ll soon have sweeping views of Swiftcurrent Valley and its surrounding mountains. At approximately 1.7 miles you’ll reach Redrock Lake. Take a break along the shoreline to enjoy the scenery.
Redrock Falls is located at the western end of the lake. Take time to explore and climb around the red rocks for which the waterfall is named for. There are plenty of spots here to relax, take pictures and picnic.
To return simply retrace your steps.
