Link Lake offers an easy hike to a prime fishing and camping site that outdoorsman of all ages can afford to enjoy.
To reach the trailhead, travel west on US Hwy 93 for 17.9 mi. and then turn right onto Olney Crossover Rd. This road will continue for 8.8 mi. and then keep left onto NF-115 for 9.7 mi. and the destination will be on the right hand side. There is a parking area where the trailhead begins.
From the trailhead, the trail veers right and continues up a hill. This is the hardest segment of the hike as it is a decent amount of vertical in a short amount of time. After climbing the hill, a crossroads is reached with the left fork leading towards Lake Mountain and Nasukoin Mountain and the right fork leading to Link Lake. After taking the right fork, the trail leads down a slight hill to the lake in about 1/4 of a mi. The lake affords superb fishing and camping spots. The return route is the same as the previous route. Consider hiking Lake Mountain and Nasukoin Mountain for a decent day's hike.
