Explore Gabbro Falls

Gabbro Falls is located just east of Blackjack Ski Resort in Bessemer, MI. There are two options for seeing the falls. First, you can continue through the resort parking lot, and continue up a service road. On the left, you see a small parking area. From the parking area, you can see a small handmade sign for the falls. Be careful, from the sign, the falls are only a few steps away! This is the viewing area at the top of the falls. You can climb down a rocky spine to get a better view of the falls, but be careful, it's usually very damp and slippery because of the water splashing. Another option for viewing the falls is from the base of the falls. Before the Blackjack parking area, there is a small bridge. Park there, and follow the signage towards the falls (roughly .5 miles). This path can get swampy, but the view from the base of the falls is excellent as well.
