A short hike just outside of Houghton, Michigan with three impressive waterfalls.
Hungarian Falls is a set of three waterfalls, the largest being around fifty feet in height, on the Dover Creek, just outside of Houghton, Michigan. In less than a mile, you can access these waterfalls, plus smaller unnamed drops and some very scenic overlooks.
The lower and middle drops are below a small reservoir and the upper drop, a unique waterfall composed of volcanic rock, is above the reservoir.
The best season to visit overall is spring, after the snow has melted or after a hard rain.
Generally this is a quite location. While it doesn't get as many visitors as some of the other Michigan waterfalls, there might be a few other people on the trail during your visit.
