Hike to Hidden Beach, MI

This adventure starts at a trailhead on the North Trail just north of Marquette, Michigan leading you straight to a beach on Lake Superior. Keep going north on a slightly beaten path up the coastline to reach Hidden Beach. The coast is full of cliffs and massive rocks to stand on to take a step out of the densely filled forests that line the shores. Hidden Beach comes out of nowhere and it can't be missed with it's massive red rock walls surrounding the entire thing. The hike is worth the sight - the beach is beautiful and the water is as clear as glass. For an even more secluded hidden spot, walk out into the chilling water around the red rock wall to find a cove with a mini beach. Without prior knowledge of this cove, you would completely miss it.

Spend a couple hours or even the day there and just sit back and enjoy the rays. It would be the perfect place to go on a clear night, but I wouldn't recommend trying to navigate out there in the dark. Depending on the time of year you may get some college kids hiking there as well, but the students at Northern Michigan University love nature just as much as you do, so they wont be a hassle to deal with.
