About this place

Added by Alex Harrison

Scoville Point is a beautiful hike to see the island if you are near the Rock Harbor Lodge area. This loop through spruce fir forests offers many openings to see Lake Superior's horizon.

At a pretty even elevation, this four mile trail ranks as one of the top trails in the National Park system. Begin your hike on the Stoll Memorial Trail and continue until you hit the Scoville Trail. Follow the Scoville Trail for another roughly 600 meters and you will hit a spectacular lookout of the island and of Lake Superior. Take the same trail back to the lodge or take the Tobin Trail along the cove and enjoy an evergreen walk back to the lodge.

Good trail
This is a good way to see what the island has to offer. I especially liked the Tobin Trail
