Cenote Encantado is a large lake-like open-aired area at the far southern end of Tulum's Zona Hotelera. Unlike cenotes more centrally located to Tulum, Cenote Encantado tends to remain much quieter, and is large enough to support paddling activities.
Access points to the cenote are limited to a couple lodging establishments along its banks, and each operates in a similar fashion of charging a small admission fee while offering free access to guests. Mangroves line the edges, and visitors can rent canoes or kayaks and head out onto the water. With the dense jungle environment here, there is not really room to lay out anywhere beside the cenote.
We entered at the Cenote Encantado Eco-Glamping space, which has several parking spaces alongside the road. However you approach it, once you're in the area you'll see the lodges advertising access to the cenote.
Overall, Cenote Encantado is a good location for an afternoon of relaxing paddling. There are no lifeguards here and equipment rentals vary by access provider.
