Otter Cliff

Otter Cliff – not to be confused with Otter Point – is a popular stop along the Ocean Path trail in Acadia National Park. This 110-foot cliff is one of the highest coastal headlands in North America and is a prime spot for rock climbing. If you don’t have your own gear, there are climbing tours available from outfitters in the area. Or if rock climbing is not your thing, you can also enjoy the views from the overlook.

There is a parking lot directly across the street from Otter Cliff, as an alternative to reaching the cliff from the Ocean Path trail.  Be sure to take some time to wander on the trail in the area though, which will give you different perspectives of the shoreline. Just be careful on the rocks, as they become slippery when wet.
