Hike Blue Hill Mountain

There are two main trailheads to access the mountain, both of which have various ways of getting up. One easy trail that has only a few steep sections is the Osgood trail.

Start by parking at the Osgood parking lot. Cross the street, and follow the well marked trail up. Cross a small bridge, and continue up the steepest park of the mountain, until you come to another bridge - stay to the left. You'll have a couple of downhill sections, with overgrown trees in the trail. A large rock face will be on your right, ascend it. This is the first view of the area from the trail, since it's almost entirely in the trees. At the top of the rock face is a sign to either go left down the mountain, or right, up the mountain. Go up.

Follow this until you reach the flat top. Roam around until you find a nice view point and enjoy! Relax, eat a snack, and take some photos of the amazing scenery. You can either take the same trail down, or find other routes down. Either way, the parking lots are only 1/2 mile apart from each other.

If you're feeling a bit hungry and it's the right time of day, there are a few options in town. However, one to consider is the Deepwater Brew Pub, on Tenney Hill right in town. It has a great local pub feel with exceptional food with a great atmosphere.
