About this place

Added by Alex E

The main attraction at this hidden gem is the ten miles of mountain bike trails the park offers.

Lincoln Parish Park offers an abundance of outdoor adventures, from a small lake beach with a lifeguard, to full site camping hook ups, to some of the best fly fishing opportunities in the area. But, the main attraction for this park is the 10-12 miles of beginner and advanced mountain bike trails. The trails are very well maintained and are great for someone just getting into the sport, or for someone with an intermediate skill level. If you are an advanced rider it may not be challenging enough, but still a very enjoyable ride. The trail offers multiple jumps, switch back climbs, creek crossing and down hill runs to gain a lot of speed. It is definitely the best mountain bike trail in Louisiana. If mountain biking isn't your thing, you can easily kayak the lake or fly fish for bass.

The park is located just of Interstate 20 on exit 86. From Ruston, Louisiana take state route 33 north for 5.3 miles to Parish Park Rd. Turn left onto Parish Park Rd and take it for about a quarter of a mile to the park. The entry fee is 2 dollars for a day pass. The park offers plenty of covered picnic areas, parking, bathrooms, food, and a playground for anyone to enjoy the park. You can also hike the mountain bike trails and there is a path that circles the lake.
