About this place

Added by Josh Currie

Iconic Malibu Pier is a must see landmark when driving through the 27 mile stretch of coastline that is Malibu. Whether you're looking to surf, grab something to eat, or just hang at the beach, the Pier is a perfect low key spot to enjoy the view.

Less than a mile South from the small town center, Malibu Pier stretches out into the Pacific. The Pier has been in Malibu since 1905 and though much of Malibu has been built up around it, it has remained quite similar to when it was first constructed. You can either pay for parking right at the entrance to the pier or find free parking along PCH.

Malibu as a whole is a very photogenic beach town and the pier is the perfect subject to rest in the foreground of a Southern California sunset. Beyond just looking at the pier, the surrounding area and beach offer many different restaurants, a famous surf break, fishing, and opportunity to just relax on the sand.

A little smaller and less populated than some of the other piers along the coast, Malibu lends towards more of a quaint and slower pace environment if that's what you are interested in. Enjoy!

Great Pier
Love the restaurant at the end of the pier! It's a beautiful place and a lot less busy than many of the other California piers.
