About this place

Added by Natalie Ramirez

One of my favorite rides in Southern CA, this is a 6-mile mountain bike trail loop with amazing views and the best single-track descent in the area.

Park at the free parking lot behind the village off Knickerbocker Rd between Village Drive and Pedder Road. Ride up Knickerbocker Rd towards the mountain. Look out for the fire service road 2N08 that veers left and uphill. The first 2 miles are challenging steep uphill, but beautiful nonetheless. The next 2 miles are uphill but not as steep. Make the 1/4 mile big climb to Grandview Junction for a gorgeous view on a cliff under the trees, and enjoy a snack and break. Go down Pine Knot Trail (1E01) for the best single track around, and stellar views of Big Bear Lake. You will end up at a picnic area, go all the way until you hit Mill Creek Rd, make a right, and then right again at the main Hwy 18 until you get to Knickerbocker Rd. Enjoy a well-deserved tasty beverage and meal in the village!
