Paradise falls is a 40 foot waterfall that flows into a large water pool. The hike to the falls is family-friendly and accessible for all skill levels. The best time to visit the falls is after it rains since the drought tends to dry it out.
The hike to Paradise Falls is about 1.5 miles one way with around 300 feet elevation change. Take it easy starting the hike because the real challenge is the change in elevation going back to your car since you'll be going uphill. At the trailhead, follow the signs indicating the location of Paradise Falls. Once you reach the teepee, take a right and descend the trail into the valley, which requires a few switchbacks. In order to get the best shot of the falls, cross the creek and climb the rock formations opposite of the falls. There are several places you can sit down, eat a snack and take in the beauty of "paradise". Keep in mind that it's not recommended to swim in the water pool since the water can be fed from street run off.
If you're inclined to extend your hike, there are several trails surrounding the falls, most of which loop back to the main parking lot.
