Millard Falls is a fifty foot waterfall nestled in the Millard Canyon. There's a boulder at the top of the falls that appears to have been wedged there for years, making this a spectacular view, especially after a rainfall.
To get to the trail, park at the Millard Campground Trailhead parking lot, where you'll find plenty of parking. Follow the trail that leads away from the lot and past the Millard Campground. If necessary, you'll find bathrooms at the campground. Follow signs for Millard Falls as the trail veers right and follows the creek.
You'll have to traverse the creek several times as the trail winds through the canyon. Hiking poles are definitely recommended since you'll end up walking on several slippery rocks as you cross the creek. Make sure you wear waterproof shoes, too!
Once you reach the falls, take in the beauty of the unique waterfall and cool yourself off at the bottom. There's a large rock off to the right side where you can get a front row seat as you eat your lunch. Additionally, if you're so inclined, the left side of the falls has areas for lead climbing. Reaching the top will give you an aerial view of the canyon and waterfall.
This hike is dog friendly, so be sure to bring your four-legged friend along. Please be considerate of other hikers and leash your pet!
