There are 2 campgrounds close to Rincón, but Carpinteria State Beach is a little bigger and easier to find a spot. There are 4 campgrounds: Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Miguel and Santa Rosa. Most of them are RV sites, but if you stay at Santa Cruz Campground you can set your tent right at the beach, and if the swell is right, you are 5 steps from Jelly Bowl break.
Carpinteria State Beach has a total of 216 tent and RV campsites give access to a wide array of activities, including swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The beach here is known for its safety, and is within close access of town. From December to May, keep an eye out for seals and sea lions.
