These 3 Adventures in Utah's Uinta National Forest Will Blow Your Mind
We all know that Utah has the Mighty 5. But they're always super crowded all year round, especially in the Summer, and you can hardly find a parking spot in these popular parks.
And many of you know the greatest snow on earth is in Wasatch National forest. And in the summer, all the trails are busy since it's so close and easy to access for people live in the Wasatch Front.
But how many of you know that besides Utah's parks and the Wasatch, there's another gem peacefully located in the Northern Utah, remote and waiting for you to explore.
Here I list three of my favorite spots in High Uintas.
1. Red Castle Lake
It's a 25 mile hike out and back, super long but no much elevation gain.
2. Kings Peak, the highest point in Utah (13534 ft / 4125 m)
It's almost 30 miles to hike out and back without too much elevation gain at the first 10 miles, the last 5 miles is pretty rough.
This is an easy hike, around 4 miles out and back.
