Relax and Rejuvenate at the Light Center

The Light Center is what I like to consider a wheat oasis. It's located about 30 minutes south of Lawrence, Kansas and offers an amazing escape from the every day grind. It's surrounded by fields of golden wheat as well as trees and rivers. It's a space that you never thought about going to, until you go to it. As soon as I was leaving I wanted to turn around and re-do my stay.

The Light Center's tag line is "Hope Grows Here" and it couldn't be more accurate. Robin, the owner and host, has created a space for renewal, globally and locally that serves individuals and families seeking wholeness in partnership with Nature; to be a clear channel for healing and to reconnect people to their hearts. This is a place to relax, reflect and spend a weekend away from the tiresome grind. The barn provides several options to sleep in- whether you're looking for a communal area in the loft or a private bedroom downstairs. Regardless of where you sleep, there is a shared kitchen, dining room, and library to spend the hours or meet new people. The people staying on the property couldn't be more helpful or more welcoming and I encourage anyone near by that needs a weekend away to book here.
