About this place

Added by Ben Figueiredo

This is a fun and easy hike in the gorgeous Stanley Basin! Great for a winter weekend to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors.

Over Galena Summit, approximately 75 miles north of Ketchum, Park Creek is supported by Sawtooth Ski Club and the City of Stanley, Idaho. One of two groomed Nordic trail systems in the Stanley Basin, Park Creek has some of the best terrain and conditions for cross-country skiing anywhere.

With breathtaking views of the Sawtooth Mountains and McGown Peak, the Park Creek trails total about 10 miles with the shortest loop being about a half mile, so there is something for every activity level, whether you want a short casual hike through a snowy forest, or you want to push yourself physically.
