About this place

Added by CampCo

Griffin Butte Loop (sometimes referred to as Adams Gulch Loop) can be described as a quintessential Sun Valley mountain bike experience.

Easily accessible from town, you can peddle right up to the trail. There is a small parking lot at the trailhead as well. This is one of those trails that are fantastic in either direction you choose to ride it. To jump right into the climbing uphill section and have a fun backend ride, hit it counterclockwise.

This ride cuts the Adams Gulch Intermediate Loop in half. You can still get a ton of workout through the climbs, and all the buzz ripping your way back down.

Heading to the right of the trailhead signage, you hop straight onto Sunnyside Trail No. 316 and make a quick right at the fork onto Adams-Lake Creek Connector. This is a nice steady, kind of long climb until you hit a saddle. This will bring you around the corner and eventually leads to a fun downhill section before climbing the rest of the way to Harpers Trail. Make a left. Ride this trail until you reach the intersection with Adams Rib #142. Turn left here for the quick and super fun descent back down.  This will dump you off onto Sunnyside Trail where you hit a left to head back towards the trailhead.

This area is riddled with amazing rides, and the network allows for hundreds of customized riding options.
