Relax and refocus your life priorities from the precarious balance of a slack line on the lawn of the Lodge at Castle Rock Ranch.
As soon you enter Castle Rocks, you hit the Lodge at Caste Rock Ranch, a century-old ranch house completely remodeled and available to be reserved year round. It has a beautifully groomed lawn area with shade trees that makes for a perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon of slack lining.
There are a few spots to set up, but we went across the main section of lawn that offered a gorgeous backdrop of the parks and towering rocks in the background. There is a picnic table that can be set for some food snacks, as well as a vault toilet nearby. The surrounding trees offer great shade, so a blanket may just be in order for a relaxing nap.
For most of the year, Castle Rocks State Park offers many hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing, star-gazing, bird and wildflower watching. In the winter, there is cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice climbing.
