About this place
This tall unnamed waterfall is easily accessible and a great place to leave the crowds behind. It sits only a few minutes away from the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
The waterfall backdrops a soccer field and school that sit just below. It's just down the road from Seljalandsfoss and is definitely worth adding to your Ring Road agenda.
The waterfall has a light flow and on a windy day the water can blow sideways or even upward. This makes the waterfall "disappear" for several seconds until the flow resumes.
I read there is a cave near the waterfall but we didn't have time to hike up to it. If you've seen it let me know in the reviews!
The waterfall is about 1.5km east on Route 1 from the Seljalandsfoss waterfall turnout. Parking is available just off Route 1 at a school called Seljalandsskoli. The GPS coordinates are 63.600000, -19.980326.
