About this place

Added by Rob Giersch

Awesome Atlanta bike park for experienced and advanced riders. Multiple lines of delicious downhill. Big double gap jumps and man-made trail features.

The Big Creek Freeride area is part of the Big Creek recreation area which provides a paved greenway, singletrack mountain biking trails, and two pump tracks.

The Freeride area contains a number of downhill mountain biking lines that bottom out at the Greenway toward the back end of the trail system. Multiple gap jump lines can be found at the top of the hill where more experienced riders can go as big as their ability and guts allow. The entire park is hidden within southern pines, so rarely does the space feel crowded. The jumps and downhill lines are constantly evolving with support from local riders and RAMBO, which is the local chapter of SORBA, so you never know what you will find on any given day.

The classic run at Big Creek takes you though the belly of a large gully while others have man-made burms and wooden jump features. It is strongly recommended that you watch and explore the lines before jumping into any of the runs for the first time. Drop your seat post and make sure you have a helmet at a minimum.

Parking can be found in the upper lot close to the park entrance or down near the greenway where there are restrooms and water fountains. Take the greenway left from the restrooms until you come to the bottom of the freeride area.
