Silver Glen Springs is a popular recreational area that has many activities for the entire family. Located in Ocala National Forrest this park sits on a spring leading out to Lake George. You are able rent Kayaks on site and are able to rent them for as long as you would like. There is also a designated area for swimmers on site along with picnic tables, hiking trails and a volleyball court.
Entrance to the park is $5.50 per person and is open year round. Snorkeling, swimming, canoeing and kayaking is allowed. Scuba diving, camping and pets are not permitted. Picnic tables and barbecue grills are located next to the springs for your enjoyment. If visiting in the winter be sure to look out for manatees - they are sighted frequently.
To get there from Ocala drive onto FL -40 E and keep going until you hit FL-19. From there you will turn left and be on FL-19 N. After 6 miles your destination will be on your right - you will see a sign saying “Ocala National Forest - Silver Glen Springs.” There is parking available onsite.
