About this place

Added by Abby Shepard

This easy trail takes you through dense hardwood forests and beside White Clay Creek

White Clay Creek State Park is a large expanse of beautiful woods and streams with over 37 miles of trails. The PennDel Trail follows White Clay Creek and winds through the hardwood forests.

The PennDel Trail actually begins at the Pennsylvania state line, but the easiest way to access the trail is from the White Clay Creek Nature Center. If you park at the Nature center, you can take the trail north toward Pennsylvania or south into Delaware. I prefer to take the trail south.

If you go south, you will follow the creek until you hit a parking lot, where the trail PennDel trail will turn into the Pomeroy trail. Cross the bridge, and before heading back toward the nature center, hike down to the creek for a great view of the bridge from the water.
