Take a unique j-bar lift up to 12,510 ft in elevation to the highest point on the mountain and ski down.
This is part of the Aspen Snowmass ski area so you'll have to buy a ski pass to take the lift up. The easiest way to get there is to take the Village Express lift to the top and once you get off turn left. You'll ski down the "blue" trail, Max Park, to Trestle and end at the Sheer Bliss lift. Take the Sheer Bliss lift up to the top. Once you get off the lift, turn left and ski down to the Cirque lift (you can't miss it). The Cirque is a secondary j-bar lift that seems odd if you've never been on one. You basically sit on this bar between your legs and stand up the whole time as it pulls you up the mountain- your skis don't leave the ground. It's completely safe, just feels different than normal lifts. Once you get to the very top, you have officially made it to the highest point you can get to on the mountain at 12,510 ft in elevation. It is a bit isolated up there and feels more like back-country skiing.
When going down there are a few options. You can choose one of the many "black" trails for more adventure and difficult skiing or the "blue" Rocky Mountain High trail which funnels into the "blue" Whispering Jesse trail and leads to the Big Burn chairlift. From there, you have many options of trails to ski and explore.
