Take a short walk from Trail Ridge Road on the Continental Divide for a great view of Rocky Mountain National Park in every direction.
This is a great place to be at sunrise or sunset. Bring a camera tripod and check the weather ahead of time.
Take Trail Ridge Road all the way to the top and park at the Alpine Visitor Center. There's a great view from here, but if you're interested in photography I recommend taking the trail southwest to a ridge where there are usually a few small ponds. Cross the road from the parking lot and you'll find the trail, which leads gently downhill for about 20 minutes. This is a great way to avoid the crowds on Trail Ridge.
