Quick hike right off of I-70 and a great place to catch the sunset. Also, dinosaurs!
The trail is adjacent to an active dinosaur quarry, and while there were no scientists at work while we were there, apparently you can see paleontologists at work in the spring and summer.
Take the interpretive trail up towards the small mesa and check out the signs pointing out fossils along the way. As the trail loops back towards the beginning, you can hang a left and scramble up to the top of the mesa for pretty spectacular views of the La Sal mountains to the south as well as the surrounding desert. Great spot for sunset.
