About this place

Take the short or long loop with the Meadowlark Plymouth trails for a laid back hike in Deer Creek Canyon Park

From the parking lot, you can take the Meadowlark trail to the west or the Plymouth Creek Trail to the southeast. It does not matter which trail you take because it ends up becoming loop.

For a more gradual slope up the hill, take the Meadowlark trail. After a little more than a mile, it intersects with Plymouth Creek to make the first short loop. The short loop is only a 495 foot climb over 2.7 miles.

Instead of heading back down the hill on the short loop, you can also continue up the trail. The long loop is a little more difficult as it heads up and around Plymouth Mountain. It's overall a 1197 foot elevation gain over 6 miles.

Keep in mind that this park is one of the most popular in the area, so the trails are usually pretty busy. The parking lot will fill up fast on the weekends, so the earlier you go, the better.
